Born in 1951 in Montreal, I was introduced to the world of arts and crafts early on by my mother Marie de Lorimier, a student of l’École des Beaux-Arts. Ever since then I have continued to hone my craft through exploration of various mediums. Right now I live in the region of Bas-St-Laurent in Quebec.
My fascination for the aquatic world stems from many summers spent by the St-Laurent river, as well as numerous seaside voyages and deep-sea diving expeditions.
I wish to express an osmosis between the fragility of the ephemeral moment, and the infinite movement of the sea — in which I project my sense of self.

“To let each impression and each embryo of a feeling come to completion, entirely in itself, in the dark, in the unsayable, the unconscious, beyond the reach of one’s own understanding, and with deep humility and patience to wait for the hour when a new clarity is born: this alone is what it means to live as an artist: in understanding as in creating.” Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a young artist.
